What do you do when you can’t get any information from official sources? If you’re a reporter for Univision’s ‘El Gordo y La Flaca,’ you track down the Latina hotel employees and pump them for as much information as you can possibly get out of them. That’s exactly what reporter Erika Garza did to find out… well, not really much of anything new about the death of Whitney Houston at the Beverly Hilton Hotel this past weekend. The employee who she interviewed, whom they didn’t even properly identify other than by saying she was one of the hotel workers at the hotel during the discovery of Whitney Houston’s untimely death, said what you would expect anyone in her situation to say.
“When we found out that she had died it was a scandal because, you know, for someone to die at this hotel, for the guests, for us as employees, for everyone, it’s something very sad,” the unidentified woman said.
The reporter then asked her what her coworker who was on the same floor as Houston had told her about what she might have seen or heard that day. Did you get confused just now? I did.
“Well… they just told her to get out; that they did not need housekeeping, but that was about it. She got out,” she added.
Titillating, verdad?! And they say television is all about talking heads these days, HA!
