It’s definitely no secret that my mother holds a very special place in my life and my heart. She always has and always will. Cómo dirían algunos, I guess you could say I’m a big old momma’s boy at heart, LOL! So, of course, when Cricket Wireless approached me about a potential Mother’s Day partnership, this year, I immediately wanted the ramo de flores to go with this giveaway. So here’s what I would very much like to send your madrecita:
– The brand new Huawei Mercury Smartphone by Cricket
– One month’s free service on this phone with talk, text and data included
– As well as one very colorful and scentful bouquet of flowers
I’m trialing this very phone by Cricket Wireless, which the company itself calls “the best Cricket Smartphone to date, and is the third Cricket smartphone from Huawei.” Last week, at the Latin Billboard Awards in Miami, the Huawei was definitely a lifesaver. Even though it’s much cheaper than my Infuse Smartphone and smaller in size, it has a lot of cool features that so far have really impressed me. For one thing, the battery life is a lot longer than my regular droid. The Huawei also takes way better pictures than my Infuse… kind of sad when you think about it. And then, there’s the whole ease of usage. This phone is really not what I expected from the prepaid provider. There’s literally no difference in the apps I can download and how they function on my Infuse or the Huawei Mercury. In fact, the only thing I would change on this phone is that it would function on a 4G network rather than a 3G one. Pero bueno, that’s not such a huge deal to me anyway.
The other great thing about the Huawei is that it comes with the signature Muve Music app as an add on option to the phone so that you can always take your music with you on the go.

Hi! Wow, the perfect Mother’s Day song… that’s a big question. I like the one by Christina Aquilera Oh Mother. Hope I win the roses for my mom. She would really enjoy them!

I’ll Always Love My Mama by The Intruders, a classic oldie. Great giveaway, Juan!
I’ll always love my mama
She’s my favorite girl
I’ll always love my mama
She brought me in this world
Sometimes I feel so bad
When I think of all the things I used to do
How mama used to clean somebody else’s house
Just to buy me a new pair shoes
I never understood how mama made it through the week
When she never, ever got a good night’s sleep…
I would serenade my mom with “Las Mañanitas” 🙂
“wind beneath my wings” for my mami
I would serenade my mom with “Amor Eterno”.

Querida Amiga by Pimpinela..
My favorite Mother’s Day song would have to be Mama by Boys to Men. This song relates to how my mother plays a role in my life and how much I love her.
My song is A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. It was really powerful. My email is charlinewilliams60@gmail.com
I couldn’t think of a Mother’s Day song, so was going to say that “You are my Sunshine” is the perfect song about mamas & their little ones, but Patricia beat me to it.
Kanye’s Hey Mama is a I love my mama song! I love that he wrote that.
Gosh, there’s so many! One I think that EVERY mother should hear is Des’Ree’s You Gotta Be. It’s like, the ultimate Mom Anthem 🙂 Also, when I gave my Mom the news that I was pregnant, she dedicated Roberto Carlos’ ‘Esperando Un Bebe’ song to me. I cried and still cry every time I hear that song! And a song that I also find blasting out for me and my Mom is Alicia Keys’ ‘Superwoman’. Such an awesome song!
Great giveaway! Good luck to every one! 😀
My all-time favorite…You and Me Against the World – Helen Reddy.
My favorite mothers day song would be from an old band called Los Bukis and the song is titled: “Te Amo, Mama.” It’s such a beautiful song…
Really people, “You are my Sunshine?!?” You guys would actually sing this song to your mothers? Have you read the ACTUAL lyrics, it says: “You once told me you really loved me and no one else could come between. But now you’ve left me to love another and you shattered all my dreams.”
And what about “Amor Eterno?” Now, unless your mother is resting in peace up in Heaven, I don’t think this is a proper song to sing to your mothers on Mother’s Day. “Oscura soledad estoy viviendo, La misma soledad de tu sepulcro […] Como quisiera, ay, que tu vivieras, Que tus ojitos jamás se hubieran cerrado nunca, y estar mirandolos.” C’mon People! Really?!? You gotta do better than that!
