So I’ve been missing in action for a few days now. Sorry. The truth is I’m not really sure why. I love blogging. It’s still one of the greatest forms of expression for me, but for some reason, I have been kind of distracted lately.
Actually, I think it’s that I’ve sort of given myself permission to not “try so hard” anymore. No sé… that might sound a little crazy, pero cuando empeze todo esto, the idea was to just express myself though my writing, and to see where that road would take me. As it turns out, going on five years later, I’ve learned a whole lot, and I probably still have a lot to learn too. The thing is, in doing so, I also kind of let my own vision of what Juan of Words would be get all muddied in the water too.
I think, like many other bloggers will tell you, it’s always a work in progress.
For me, right now, I want to go back to the basics. I want to just blog for the sake of blogging. I want to just write and create for the sake of creating. In fact we’ve been talking about it for quite some time. During that process we’ve also discovered we’re closer to what you might call original content creators. In fact, it was Jen from Organized Jen who even made us aware of the definition for this term. You should read her definition of the work she does if you’re not familiar with the title.
So what does that mean?
I’m not entirely 100 percent sure just yet. What I do know is that we will continue to blog, and vlog, and share all kinds of other stuff that we think is interesting, and that we think you might find interesting too.
Cómo siempre, we do realize that you are here by choice, and if you decide to continue visiting our little casita online, pues, aquí los seguiremos esperando. Our doors will always be open to you!
