We received the Chevy Blazer complimentary to test drive in order to facilitate this review. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
Sleek. Sporty. And a lot of fun to drive. That is how we have been describing the new 2021 Chevy Blazer ever since it first arrived on our driveway earlier this year. It was a loaner sent to us by Chevrolet for our mini-road trip across Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas this past November. We had it in our possession for a total of 14 days, and I don’t mind telling you we weren’t ready to let it go.
For one, the way it grips the road is pretty awesome. Whether we were driving uphill, downhill, or straight through the Midland, I always felt in control behind the wheel of this all-wheel-drive. On this trip we stopped and did a little diamond digging in Arkansas, had dinner and drinks in Kansas, and visited the Oklahoma City Zoo before making our way back home to the Lone Star State.
Along the way we spent time laughing and making memories. It was a lot of fun, although a lot shorter than the longer cross-country road trips we have come to long and cherish.
For just the two of us, the Chevy Blazer offered the perfect combination of performance and comfort. It was roomy enough to carry all our luggage, podcast equipment, and even the little things we purchased to bring back home along the way, without feeling like it was more space than we needed. The fuel economy was also a big benefit. We did not spend more than $200 on gas during our entire trip.
And we actually did record while we were on the road. This episode of our podcast was completed in Arkansas:
Because it was an all-wheel-drive we couldn’t resist testing the speed and torque of the 2021 Chevy Blazer as well. Let’s just say it can get from zero to 60 pretty impressively!
Now that we are thinking about a new vehicle for our home, I can’t tell you how often this ride has come into my thoughts. I know it would be one sporty SUV everyone at our home would be excited to drive.
Thanks, Chevy for the experience and the ride!
