It all started over dinner. Several dinners in fact. We were on a regular schedule of meeting at least once every other week to break bread with our good friend Sandra Fernandez when the conversation just came up. Why not turn our ongoing marathon conversations into something more? A podcast perhaps. At first, we all just kind of nodded and moved on to the next topic of conversation. Only more and more that same question kept popping up.
Finally we all decided, why not?!
And we haven’t looked back since. “The Little Radio Show,” in fact, is now 10 pre-recorded episodes old, and last week, we held our official launch party in Houston. Wow, time flies! Thanks to our generous underwriters (Kroger, Pisco Portón, Talento Bilingue de Houston, and Houston Media Source) our shindig was actually quite the kick off party, if we do say so ourselves, jaja!
It was so great to be able to celebrate with friends and family last week! We’re especially grateful for those who made the trek across Texas just to support this latest project of ours. Vianney Rodriguez of SweetLifeBake.com served up some delicious cocktails for all our guests, including one from her new book Latin Twist. Our friend Melanie Mendez Gonzales of Qué Means What fame drove all the way from San Antonio (four hours away) to help us celebrate como se debe.
We continue to be extremely humbled by all the friendships we’ve been able to build along the years through Juan of Words. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Y más thank yous!
So what is “The Little Radio Show?” I guess the easiest way to sum it up is to use our slogan: “small talk about big topics.” Yeah, pretty much exactly what it sounds like… conversations about the things we find interesting. Hopefully conversations that you will find interesting as well, and will want to join!
If you haven’t heard the show yet, find us iTunes and online too. If you’d be so kind as to rate our show on iTunes that would be wonderful as well. It will help to improve our ranking on the podcast network.
And again, GRACIAS!!! Enjoy the pictures below from our official launch party.

The Drive Checklist get together was astounding. DJ, tunes – exceptionally pleasurable surroundings. Due for the heads up!
